Over the past two weeks I have been indulging in sugar, sweets & alcohol. I am getting ready to move to Sydney Australia for 4 yrs and I have been attending all of these 'going away' parties.
I know this is NO excuse for me to sway from my strict anti-yeast diet that I have been on for 6 months.
And believe me, I have learned my lesson. I can feel the yeast EVERYWHERE in my body. The heartburn is killer.
I currently take 2 probiotics that are good, but I am thinking about stepping it up a bit.
I have had my eye on Theralac & VSL#3 for a while.
My question is -- would it be beneficial to take both or would I be wasting money on taking both and all that I really need is one or the other?

VSL#3 has an order of magnitude greater numbers of bacteria, in my opinion if you are taking VSL#3 you would be throwing money away to take something like theralac. I do fine on VSL#3 alone.
Restricting carbohydrate intake actually makes a much bigger difference than probiotic supplementation if you want to control yeast. I would be more worried about your diet.
Try to keep carbs in the range of 60-100g daily, and avoid bread, potatoes, pasta, baked goods, sugar, fruit juices, soda, any sweetened beverages, and beer. As a bonus, if you successfully adhere to these guidelines you will lose any/all of your excess body fat and feel alot better.

Thank you for both of your input! I will be ordering the VSL#3 today.
The good news is, that I can order it over in Australia, it didn't look like Theralac shipped over there.
And I will be saying a sad goodbye to my sugar binge. It was fine while it lasted...until the end of course. Lesson learned.
