Hi Everyone:

I recently tested positive for Babesia Duncani and my LLMD has started me on treatment for it after a few years of treatment for Bb.

My question is I do not have night-sweats or any other type of sweats as one of my symptoms....

Wondering how many of you that tested positive for Babs also do not have the classic sweats but, still improved after specific Babs related treatment?

Thx,
Dave

Dave,

I tested IGG positive for Babesia Duncani and have never had a fever or sweats even when on Mepron. Still being treated. The only thing that leads me to believe I may have it (besides the blood test) is my Ferritin levels are very low.

I live near your neck of the woods. There is a Lyme Support Group once a month in Lynchburg. You may already know about it, but if you are interested send me a PM. The group meets this Saturday.

I tested positive to Babesia also, and actually I don't sweat much at all even in the summer. I have wondered about that, since I hear of ppl with babs talking about the sweats.

Morning:

Sent you a PM. Also, here's a kicker, you mention low Ferritin...Mine is actually usually high! Every other potential marker like CD-57, etc. are always low....Go figure.

Also wanted to ask....any of you treating Babs, do you ever get an inner restlessness (Akathesia)?

Man, I get this all the time, mainly at night and it drives me crazy! [Frown]
