I have been on diflucan in the past, 100mg daily when I was on flagyl. I'm on flagyl again and anticipate the need for a yeastie beastie medication.
Which is better? Nystatin? or Diflucan? Why?

My LLMD described it to me this way: Diflucan kills yeast all over the body. Nystatin kills yeast in the gut.
I was on them at the same time until my insurance company would only cover 1 at a time.
So I chose Diflucan (200mg a day), and went to the heavy duty probiotics for my gut. I use VSL#3. There are some threads on here that talk about VSL#3. Others use Theralac.
