I'm switching from doxy/zithro to amoxi on Saturday. I'm also taking probenicid to increase the effect.

Have you taken this?

Did it help you? Did you herx?

Why do I think it's a weaker med than what I've been on?

I am also on Artiminnisin and will be adding Flagyl at the end of Aug.

Any thoughts?

Hope it works because I'm starting it soon. [Smile] Probably too small of a dose though. [Frown]

I had a big herx three days after I started the amoxicillin.

No major herxes after that, though.

About a month after starting Amoxicillin [low dose, 5oomg x3], I noticed that I was far less stiff and had lower levels of pain in muscles and joints generally.

This has been sustained, although I am only taking it patchily at present because I have started on the Allergie-Immun therapy.

I may ask for a higher dose in the future to see if any more benefits can come from it,

Carry

I herx badly on amoxicillin and augmentin. The only abx I can tolerate are ceftin or doxycycline.

We are all so different. Some people have different reactions.
