So I have a problem. Every morning I get chest pain and find it hard to breathe. I went to the emergency room for it six months ago and they showed no heart damage. But I haven't followed up on it because we didn't think it was anything besides anxiety (which I have).

So the question is, could it be heart damage? Or is it just anxiety? Should I be worried (because I am)?

Is it possible that it's just a herx? I take the most supplements in the morning, and therefore I think I'm herxing the most.

Thanks!

Have you mentioned it to your LLMD?

Chest pain is always important to investigate.

Does it wrap around your back? Go down an arm?

Do you have babs? Chest pain was often one of my babs symptoms. It resolved with treatment.

Could also be costochondroitis (spelling, sorry, my brain is not all here) or inflammation along one of the nerves in your chest. That can make it hard to take a deep breath, too.

Keep us posted.

I would think any ER doctor would at least run an echo, if not give a referral to a cardiologist.

That's what they did when I was in the ER for those symptoms.

Granted, they didn't think it was my heart, but they even said, better safe than sorry.

I would mention it to your LLMD and see if he/she would consider giving you a referral, especially since Lyme can affect the heart.

At I talk I saw, Dr. H said that most cases of chest pain were really from the nerve that runs down the ribcage. I can't remember the name of it now, but I think it started with a V.

I used to have crazy chest pains. Though there were many kinds, the worst were a terrible squeezing constriction where I couldn't take a breath. It was very bad while on certain abx. But it is much rarer now; also less intense and shorter in duration when it happens. In my case, I think it's probably that nerve. But I don't know for sure.

If you're nervous, go get it checked out.

ToLife - I hope my post didn't come across as if I thought an ECHO was not necessary. That was not my intent at all.

nomoremuscles, yes - that sounds like the nerve inflammation issue I was trying to describe - some of my own chest pain has been attributed to that - after getting everything thoroughly checked, of course.

missextreme - how are you feeling?

I hope you're either feeling better or that you've at least put in a call to your LLMD to get some advice.

I had chest pain and for me I think it was from babesia because it went away with treatment.

For me, it was a pain directly where my heart is. Kind of a dull ache that would come and go in my heart.

Babesia treatment took care of it for me. My llmd did not think I needed an ECHO or any other heart tests. I guess he thought it was from babs...it turns out he was right.

I am in no way saying you shouldn't get heart testing. I'd talk to your doctor about it. Do you have babs?

Hello!

I'm feeling okay, and as usual the chest pain waxes and wanes. Usually it comes with a shortness-of-breath feeling (but not actually short of oxygen) and anxiety. I get both when I'm tired, short of sleep, or run down.

I get my chest pain often after I do coffee enemas. It's probably revving my body so that I get more anxious.

When I went to the ER, they did an ECHO. Normal! My oxygen levels were also - NORMAL! I was sooo short of breath, fatigued, and sharp chest pain when I went in. But everything checked out fine; I could go to a cardiologist, but I show low normal cholesterol levels, I exercise regularly, and no heart damage in my ER visit.

I do eat a high carb breakfast - anything to keep me from losing weight! I am fighting for each pound. I know it's not the best, but I don't have yeast. I eat oatmeal with soymilk.

It seems like whenever I go attack the Lyme really hard, my anxiety, chest pain, and shortness of breathe feelings skyrocket. How frustrating!

We are struggling to know how to take my treatment. I know I have to kill off more Lyme, but I have a terrible time detoxing. My liver gets very congested, even though I sauna, drink lime/lemon juice, and do coffee enemas. *sigh*

Oh the drama of Lyme. Does it ever get better?

What you describe is most likely
the cartilage between your ribs being inflamed -

I is VERY Common with babs--

Threw the last few years I have read hundreds of posts like yours and nobody was having a heart attack-

Cardiac doctors must love Babs patients $$$--

for some reason the pain is usually on the
left side of body--
I had these pains too and heart attack was
the first thing that popped into my head also-

The pain went away with Babs treatment--Jay--

Very interesting! Thanks for your help, Jay. What did you do to treat your Babs? I've never targeted coinfections with my treatment yet.

Oh misses, I am right there with you. Exactly as you describe. Have taken my only ambulance rides becuase of this chest pain which feels for all the world like a heart attack, arm, jaw, sweating. It seems different reasons for this at different times. Dr. S thought it was referred stomach pain, which it does seem like most of the time when it is confined to the left upper chest area. Other times, it's a panic attack, other times, ???. I have had three cardiac work-ups in the last ten years and I am glad I have had them. It does set my mind at ease. It has never really gone away, but just gets worse or better at times. Tell your primary or LLMD you have chest pain and want a cardiac workup. Once I got my first one, which showed I was fine, they said I should get one every 5 yrs, probably cause I am overweight and family history of heart stuff. All I know is the chest pains are one of the worst things. Good luck

Could be digestive.

I get this from air in my GI system.

Try a product like Gas-X (simethicone) to see if it resolves.

Yes, I have had this. Both sharp and dull pain, right where my heart is. Due to an EKG packed full of palps, I did have a stress/echo...apparently "normal."

The pains have decreased over the last months while in tx; the palps are still there. You probably should have your heart checked out thoroughly; however, seems it's not an uncommon symptom with LD and company. Good luck. TS

I agree with Shosty. It could be digestive.

I developed allergies to both oats and soy (your breakfast!) from Lyme.

Try switching out your breakfast to something else (an elimination diet) and see if it resolves.

Hi miss--

I have done a Bunch of different treatments for babs--

Mepron - Bactram Ds -Artimisinin Alaina - quinine-
Chloroquine Primaquine treatment -Biaxin-
and several that I dont remember --

All of these helped me alot --

To treat babs it can take a Long time of
Contentious treatment --

From my experance Pulsing Babs meds is not good-
My LLMD also agrees with me on this--

I lost Much progress each and Every time
I pulsed babs meds--

Babs is a tuff bug and will mutate if you give it a chance to --Jay--
