Some time ago I had an online consultation with a natural healer. Ok, I am desperate after being bedridden for so many years.
This healer told me that I need to take 6 Yarrow pills (Nature's SUnshine brand) a day for 1 month in order to first cleanse the blood. Then, to get back to him and he would reasess my situation and tell me next step.
I didn't follow through because I learned my Metametrix gastrointestinal test panel results for IgG4 antibodies. Showed a substantial allergy to sunflower seeds, stated as +5 severe.
Isn't yarrow a derivative or associated with sunflower?? I realize that it can all depend on which parts of the plants are used etc, so I am wondering for those who might know (especially regarding Nature Sunshine products).....might it still be okay for me take the yarrow to cleanse blood? Prior to learning my test results I was eating raw sunflower seeds daily and quite frankly didn't notice a worsening of anything so I am somewhat thinking there couldn't be a great risk for me with this.
Your thoughts please? I recall my former LLMD said at the time something about this result not being a real actual allergy but a response allergy based on inflammation or something like that. I never did understand what he meant.
All I need to know is would yarrow likely be ok for me take given these test levels. I realize you are not doctors and not giving medical advice. I am looking for your thoughts on it not medical advice.

I wish I could answer that question. I checked all my herb books and couldn't find it. The best blood cleanser I know of is red clover.
I guess the herbalist thinks you should cleanse your system before killing the infection, so that the Lyme, etc. exit you body better so there won't be so much hearxing.
Hope someone can tell you about yarrow.

I saw a "healer" too...couldn't phone consult because they are Amish.....
Anyway, the recommendation was for me to take 9 yarrow per day, 6 tablespoons chlorophyl, and acidophilus.
As far as I know, and I could be wrong, yarrow is not related to the Sunflower. I have grown yarrow and it grows as wispy, fern like foilage, with tiny clusters of flowers in varying colors.
Yarrow and chlorophyl are both used as blood cleansers.
