For years I've had deep muscle pain in my back. I attributed it to stress, anxiety, posture, etc.
Now that I'm getting treatment for Lyme, I've got muscle aches all over.
I do have occasional joint and deep-bone pain, but the muscle aches are daily.
Massage used to help, but now a massage leaves me totally wiped out for at least two days.
I just added Biaxin into my abx routine, and it's gotten worse.
So I'm wondering--Is this just another nasty effect of Lyme? Is it a sign of herxing?
And if anyone else has had this, what can I do for the pain? I'm currently taking at least one Vicodin before bed in order to get comfortable enough to sleep.
But it only helps a little. My psychiatrist (not LL--I'd been seeing her for OCD when the Lyme whammie hit) handles my psych meds (Zoloft, Klonopin), and she's not too happy with the Vicodin. (Concerns about physical dependence, neurotransmitters, interactions, etc.)
I'm not exactly happy either, but I'm not sure what to do.

I've been feeling the same thing since I started Amoxyl 3 weeks ago.
Nothing helps my pain either, and it just wipes me out.
I'm thinking it's a herx, but I don't know what if anything can be done to relieve it.
Sorry I can't give any helpful advice, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone.
