His first PICC was pulled last Wednesday due to a PICC line infection.
Though we promised him we would wait a couple of weeks so he could swim in the new pool and have a break, Dr. Jones' office called today and said no way. They want him right back on, had wanted him on a couple weeks before school started.
Too late for that, school starts Wednesday. So tomorrow it is. I guess the hospital called Dr. Jones and said we wanted to wait a couple weeks and then they called us.....SNAGGED!!!

Make SURE, I mean SURE!!!!!!!! That that first septic infection is killed off first. They should have run blood cultures on your son to make sure it's been treated before they put in another PICC line. It can happen again if the bacteria is not fully killed off and in the blood, the second line can get infected! Hopefully it wont, but they really should have treated the first sepsis episode better and did you find out the germ? Keep a watchful eye..dont be full of fear, but just be vigilant about any relapse of sepsis symptoms, fever, pain etc.

I think it is good to be aggressive with this, up
to a point. Like he has already dealt with. I am
curious if temp can be controlled by other means of
detox. I saw a big bottle of DETOX GOLD. I think it
looks like something made for people who do drugs
who need to pass a test. KWIM. Well I looked at
the ingredients and the majority is B's and B
Complexes. Does this sound normal? B's for detox?
I didn't get one to try but they said they sold a
lot of it. LOL Hey if it works on taking that out
of the system it just might help.
