Guys I don't know what to expect. Would I be able to have energy throughout the day if I did the treatments at night? I'm not sure what he is putting me on but I have only had lymes for 3 months and he wants to knock it out of my system. My doc emailed me "the light sensitivity makes me think of meningitis or lining of the brain irritation, but I am not certain of that" So he wants me to be on a PICC. Can anyone tell me about this and their experiences? His office was closed when I called.

PICC line helped us get over the hump after failed orals. Took almost 3 weeks on the IV to see much improvement though.
Felt the benefits were worth the risks.
You have PICC Line inserted in hospital and are usually followed by some home health company on a weekly basis. You can usually do infusions yourself daily. Took about 1 to 1/2 hours to infuse each time.

PICC line helped tremendously. I did 9 weeks of iv therapy, this is after 1 year of failed orals. I felt IV knocked the bulk out of me, especially out of my head! My eyes and ears were a mess.
I herxed BAD for 3 weeks or so and then slowly rebounded. I did my dose at night so the fatigue for that went right into the pillow.
I think if you have the chance to do it and doc thinks you need it, it can be worth it.
