Are there any supplements or anything we can do to help with some of the herx symptoms?
When I was on Doxy, I felt a bit under the weather for the first two weeks, but the herx was minimal.
Now on Bactrim, it feels 10x worse. I thought it was getting better on the 3rd day, but now I think that was just wishful thinking.
Running a fever most of the time, getting painful headaches, achy, dizzy (caused by low blood pressure), etc. Basically feels like a terrible flu, but with worse headaches, and without vomiting (at least grateful for that much). Using tylenol for the fever and headaches.
Anything else helpful? I've read lemon juice may help?

There are many simple and inexpensive things you can do - lemon water is excellent (LOT'S!), as well as green tea and hot epsom salt baths. Do a search on here for detox ideas and you'll come up with lot's of great things. Sorry you're feeling bad, but at least you know your killing stuff. Feel better soon!

I feel the same way on Amoxyl. Doxy was no big deal, but Amoxyl has been murder!
I had monster headaches for the first week, and that went into body aches, now yesterday I had a low fever and diarrhea (don't know if it was a herx or a stomach bug, but I'm taking a break from the meds today).
I used to take Benadryl, which helped when I had a Doxy herx, bt nothing has helped the Amoxyl herx (or whatever it is that I feel).

Activated charcoal is good too, takes all the toxins out of your body.

Found out it wasn't just a normal herx, but an allergic reaction to the medicine. I broke out today in a rash pretty much all over my body.
So... wishful thinking has me hoping some bacteria was killed on the week I was taking it, but a lot of the symptoms could have very well been just an allergic reaction/side effect.
Sort of explains why I felt like I was dying though.
