Hi all, I started treatment for Lyme almost 2 months ago. I'm taking 400mg Doxy and 1000mg Ceftin each day. I have been doing much better; however just got a new symtpom last night that is very concerning. I started noticing in the evening that the outer edges of my feet were going numb. Could only really feel it at first if I rubbed against something and noticed the sensation was strange. Now it is more pronounced and I can feel a slight tingle, which is creeping up my leg as well.

Has anyone experienced this type of issue after being 2 months into treatment? I was so excited doing better, and now depressed yet another new symptom. This started about 2 hours after eating sushi, can there be something in the fish that reacts with Lyme?

Thanks for any input.
Chris

Funny you should mention the sushi, I've been getting them same numbness also on the outsides of my feet but also tingling/vibrations in my arms & legs. I have been eating alot more fish lately to try to keep to a healthy diet. I have been reading about mercury poisoning and have wondered if it is connected.

Hello,

I have this issue, it is called perioheral Neuropothy. I am numb from my foot almost tot he knee. It did start with the toes, then progressivly went up the leg. The skin is numb I can barely feel touch. It took a few weeks for it to start travelling up the leg. I have had bouts of not feeling my foot and cannot walk. I went to see a neurologist to help with that. he beleives it is from the Lyme.

I get this in my feet to and initially i had it on the outer edges of my hands.

I attribute the foot numbness in my case to Bart because recently I came of meds for Bart and had it come back.

I find it comes back when I herx, then clears which lets me know its the infection and not permanent damage.
