Still learning - need help reading this...confused as to whether this constitutes a definitively positive lyme diagnosis or not. Any thoughts from those of you who have gone down this path before?

Can't remember where I saw the list of what each band meant - I'm not functioning well today at all and hoping someone can direct me to it. ***EDIT - never mind - I found the link, but still confused! EDIT***

Thanks, Aimee

I would consider this test positive.

Sorry, I am sure this isn't what you want to hear.

If he is symptomatic and has that WB, then I would seek

Treatment for him asap.

I've had both of my young children treated for congenital Lyme.

Both are currently without symptoms and not on meds.

Hang in there.

Sending you positive thoughts and prayers.

Hugs,

Geneal

Looks pretty positive to me too. You have some Lyme specific bands. Nothing else can cause those.

I hope you have found a good LLMD?

hugs to you! [group hug]

PS... PRINT OUT Dr C's Western Blot Explanation. I will make more sense to you and you can read it over and over.

My son is 5, and we have already had him to see Dr. M in Dr. Z's office in VA but are on the waitlist for Dr. J for January.

He is already on abx, but only amox 250 3x day. Waiting for the co-infection panel.

Any thoughts on whether this is a new infection or old? Wondering since his band 41 came up +++ on the IgM and only + on the IgG. Just wondering if maybe we caught it early. Any thoughts????

I was afraid it was +. After clearing my own head a little ( I am having a VERY bad Lyme day), I re-read the report from Igenex and it does say for sure he is + as he has at least 2 of the ** bands.

Now to get the others tested I guess. They all have some sort of symptoms. Guess I need to know for sure who has it and who doesn't.

Thanks for the replies.

Aimee

*hugs* He has lyme specific bands, and yeah I would call that a positive test.

How old are your other kids? All three of mine have Lyme as well.

IckyTicky,

My other boys are 9,7 and 3. I suspect my husband is infected as well. Guess we'll just make it a family affair!

Are all 3 of your children seeing an LLMD? I think we will truly go broke if we ALL have to see one, let alone travel to CT for the kids and MD for us.

Mercifully, my 5 year old is doing really well on abx - he seems to feel fine most days so I am thankful for that. Apparently this is much more challenging for the adults then the kids. I wish I had the energy he does while fighting off these bugs!

How have your children done with treatment?
