Questions for those who have experience pusling with Zythro.
Just got a call from the Nurse at my LLMD's office to start pulsing my Doxy. with Zythro twice a week. I asked her what the Zythro will do and she was not sure but said the Dr. wanted me to start this week. Dr. suppose to call later today to explain.
So, until she calls I was wondering how many other have pulsed with Zythro and what is the idea behind it?
Thanks in advance!

Zithro was a drug that was very difficult for me to take. My LLMD wanted me to reach full concentrations of it in my system, which takes a few days, so he had me pulse 3 days on 4 off. That way I had the break from the terrible herx it caused every time I took it for three days. There was no way I could take it continually.
Perhaps he's seeing how you react?

Some research says that maximum Bb killing occurs as the circulating abx level is decreasing. Pulsing doses takes advantage of this by ramping up the level followed by letting it settle.

I'm sure my LLMD will explain it all to me but I was very curious as to the difference between the way Doxy works vs. Zythro. It has been years since I had taken Zythro and will curious to see how I respond. Seems like this is a common protocol.. Thanks.

I've seen it published with MP stuff, and it may be elsewhere too. Afraid I don't have any links for you.
