- No, the blood type diet is not a scam. But I think it generalizes and paints wide strokes. Lyme patients have special needs.
The blood type diet can be good but, for me (an A), it says no meat is best. I tried for many years to be a vegetarian. I simply could not do it. My body needs animal protein to function.
I do best with fresh and wild salmon (but that is rare on a budget). I get organic chicken and grass-fed beef and don't eat too much of that, with lentils and nuts also providing good protein (and quinoa, too).
So, in the basics, its a good book to read and consider and then see how it works for you, personally. Within any group, there will be some variances.

Protein helps our bodies make glutathione and that helps the liver detox . . . protein's amino acids help our brain, our hearts, our muscles, etc., etc., etc.,

Not sure about cowden, but Juice Plus is a scam.
Just eat more vegetables, or get a juicer and drink vegetable juice. Or get a good multi + veggie/fruit powder (Nature's Way Orchard Fruits/Garden Veggies, New Chapter Berry Greens, etc.). Various green powders out there.

KyoGreen is one choice. Green Vibrance is another.
You can also buy Spirulina in bulk. That is a power-packed nutrient.
Juicing is very good, too, as mentioned above. And the left over pulp can be put into lentil soup - or even stirred into quinoa or brown rice, etc.

My LLMD recommends Juice Plus, but I don't think much of it. I took it for more than a year because I wanted to follow his recommendations to a 't'. It's probably good for someone who doesn't have a great diet, but I'm really into eating well.

I have taken juice plus for over a year, when my LLMD reccomended it to me. He is suppossed to be one of the top Lyme docs in the country. I still don't have the energy or time for a real good diet (juicing etc.), so I have stuck with it.
It's $41 a month (2 bottles, 2 caps of one in am and 2 caps of another in pm). I have cut down on some things, but that is one I have stuck with.

Ketyl. I think that's the perfect application and probably the reason I stuck with it so long. For months because of GI trouble I was intolerant of fruits and vegetables, so I thought at least I was taking those pills.
You triggered my memory of what I was thinking back then. Now I eat great (most of the time) and don't feel I need them.
