Something I read on several other posts was that when we have Lyme that many of our latent viruses can re-activate? Am I getting that right?
I know for me I have had an active case of EBV (not latent) 3 times this year.I've known I had EBV since i had mono when I was 12..but isn't it rare for that to re-activate? I'm beginning to wonder if this virus might be more of my problem than Lyme.
But this last round of abx (Ceftin for 3 weeks so far) has been HORRIBLE. I want to just stop the meds! I mean is this herxing...for real? How do they really know if Herx really exists..I mean maybe it is just the abx that makes us feel bad. Very few seem to get better with abx, I'm confused!!!! I felt a whole lot better off abx than on.
Also, I'm getting myself very confused and I get so tired I can't follow up on half of what I read here. From what I am reading it looks like I should be tested for:
HHV-6 All the herpes viruses Anemia Thyroid Adrenal disfunction Hormone levels Candida enterovirus Cpn Parvovirus Q fever Iron deficiency B12 deficiency God knows what else.....
I have already been tested for:
EBV (+) for chronic mono Vit D - deficient Thyroid (normal but I don't believe it) Co infections (none according to labs) ATP levels (very low...taking Glutathione shots)
What else have I missed...I know there are 100s more but my God...I don't have enough blood for them to take to do all these tests. I almost fainted last time I gave 12 vials.
Does anyone ever really get better? Seems once you have Lyme that is just scratching the surface...does Lyme give us all these other problems too? This sucks.
