I came off Doxy and went on Amoxyl (2000mg/day) a little over month ago.
I swear I have been going downhill since then! I started off with a mean herx--massive headaches that nothing touched, generally feeling crappy....
Now that that has worn off, I feel like I'm back to what I was before starting treatment--tired almost all the time, sick to my stomach, jaw cracking, anxiety, air hunger taht is getting worse by the day.
And the Amoxyl isn't doing anything for my eyes, which is why he put me on it to begin with.
All I can say is ugh!

It is a merry-go-round Starfall. New meds shake things up, send us backwards (or not)...some move forward quickly. Others, not so much.
Hang in there. It is the roughest road ever travelled, but you've got what it takes....plus! someone really amazing as your base and comfort!
Blessings, FF

PS, I believe that ILADS recommends 3000-6000 mg Amoxy daily. Some have taken much higher doses. Maybe your dose is too low and not knocking down your Lyme?
Just a thought, Feelfit

I took 7500 mg daily, so yes, dosage is important. They can do a peak level test to see if you are taking a high enough dosage.
Also, some meds just don't work well for some people. Be sure to talk to your LLMD about this.
I NEVER felt good on Amoxy .... but I progressed in the five months I was on it .... but never felt good, and never liked it AT ALL ... well, as soon as I would start feeling better, we'd increase the dosage again, so I would feel bad again. We ramped up over a few months to the 7500 dose.

I felt like I had a stomach bug or something today--really nauseated, although I did get soooo hungry. But whenever I'd eat, I thought I'd puke.
Oh, and LLMD's office called today to say my Vitamin D levels crashed again, so maybe that's some of the reason I feel so blah.
