Jessica Stevens. I haven't heard from her in a year and a half and we used to talk often. The last I heard she was hospitalized and being given IV combined with anti-allergy medications because she was reacting to all medicines.

i did a search of directory and found the below if it will help at all, where you could post a note to the LAST NOTE SHE STARTED to see if it gets there to her or not?

I have been wondering about her a lot too. She lives in Long Island I think. I used to correspond with her on Healingwell. I tried to send her a message on facebook, but I never heard back and I don't think she posts anywhere else.
She had been posting a lot on the facebook lyme awareness group, but when I checked a few times, I didn't see any posts by her for a long, long time. I should probably ask someone in that group if they have heard from her.

Stacy, Are we talking about the same Jessica. The one I'm talking about had the username: stevensjess11 for both her Yahoo and AIM.
Maureen, that sounds exactly like who I'm talking about. I'd say her and I were pretty good friends here online, but no one has told me anything, including her family. I spoke to her sister at one point and she told me zip.
I was a member of her facebook group and she hasn't sent me anything either from that.

Mike, there are a couple of recent posts from August 2009 about Jessica (if this is the right Jessica). She sounds very ill and extremely debilatated. Maybe we could all send our good thoughts & prayers her way. My heart goes out to her & her family, this is so sad especially for such a young life.
I just ran my mouse over the photos at the top of her page -- Jessica's muscles have atrophied so badly -- it is hard to look at.

Jessica's Mom is asking for prayers since Jessica has taken a turn for the worse. This ketamine treatment is controversial but when you live in constant pain and have exhausted all other treatment I can understand taking a chance.
----------- quote:
Hi to all,
Just wanted to ask everyone to please pray extra hard for Jessica today. Yesterday afternoon, Jessica started to have fever. It went as high as 104.5.
Tests were taken and we await their results, but because Jessica's blood counts are very low and she is very susceptible to infection and because the fever was so high, she required a blood transfusion, as well as oxygen 24/7.
Other tests are going to be performed to see what the cause of the infection could be. Please keep her in your prayers today!

I don't mean to ruffle any feathers but the title of this thread mystifies me: why would someone post asking if Jessica was still alive? My heart breaks for Jessica and her family. Many of us are bedbound or close to bedbound in extreme distress 24/7.
"Does anyone know how this patient is doing?" to me might have made more sense. I would hate to think someone on LN would wonder if I were "dead or alive" just because I didn't post for a while...but to inquire how I was doing is another matter!

I do believe her debilitation is severe since she is on tube-feeding, paralyzed, confined to bed, in constant pain and down to skin & bone at 92 lbs & not able to post on any forums.
I sure hope there are not many of us in that bad of shape. If there are, I'm sending heartfelt prayers to them.

Thank you for that information Looking. I am unable to tolerate reading more than a couple of lines or skimming a post so I may have missed that.
What a difficult situation for her and her family, so much suffering. I still maintain there might have been a different way to title this thread, only my opinion of course.

would someone post this link on jessica's blog after metallic blue changes the heading??
i was going to post; but couldn't remember my id there, etc.
so i'll extend my sincerely prayers for jessica and family here on this post.
jessica, we pray that you will be able to overcome your latest major setback with god's help and strength.
praying you'll turn the corner and start on your road to remission. hugs/kisses
I am not sure this is the same Jessica? The one I use to talk to was from NY and her user name here was JRachel11 I believe. The story sounds very much like the Jessica I knew. She too was very sick and at the same point as this other Jessica if they are 2 different folks. Also I think they are the same age too so maybe it is the same person and the user names are different.
I am going to read all the blogs and I hope and pray she can make some progress back to health.

I watch the video and read Jessica's story. It sure sounds like the same gal that I use to talk to. The story even mentions her LLMD which is the same one that the Jessica I knew saw too.
