My PICC line stopped working last monday, finally got it pulled on wednesday but have not been able to get another line placed yet.
I've been off IV Rocephin for 6days now. Started feeling gradually worse over the past 3days (fluey, achy, tired, increased neuropathy, etc). I'm wondering, is it even possible for me to be experiencing the beginnings of a relapse so soon?
I'm on oral Doxy, Factive, Plaquenil, and Malarone. This combo should hold things at bay for awhile, right?
Maybe i'm just experiencing a flare from one of the co-infections. It would be scary if Lyme could come back so soon.
Anyone have any experience or opinions on this?

Good news is i'm scheduled to have another PICC line placed tomorrow at 8:45Am.
I'm nervous which is silly, I know, but I had alot of pain and spasms afterward last time so i'm really not looking forward to getting this done.
In the end I know that it is what I need to do and hopefully i'll start feeling better once i'm back on the IV Rocephin.

Sorry this has happened to you.
I've been told that a relapse soon after going off abx would indicate something other than lyme as the cause because lyme is slow growing.

Both times i had to come off Rocephin i experienced a very strong relapse just after 4 days. Some of the worse headaches I ever had.
Dr.Burrascano says that when you relapse so quickly after Rochephin it likely could be bartonella.
Hope you feel better soon. Best wishes.

Thank you Terry and erica, I had wondered about that. It will be interesting to see what happens when I start back up on the Rocephin.
