I have read some of the links that were provided. Thanks for that. I have a few questions though. I was told that there are
different disabilities I could apply for? I applied for one years ago and they called me in to see one of their doctors to be
evaluated. I was denied and I don't remember the reason. I think they still thought I could work. I applied again a second
time and they denied me right away saying that my husband made too much. He made the same amount the first time they
evaluated me, so I was confused. Is there another disability that I can apply for that doesn't go by my husbands income?
I have been going downhill lately and can barely walk most days. We need the extra income because I'm getting put on a
picc line and don't even know if my insurance will cover it. If they do cover it, I was told that it will probably only be for a
month and my LLMD thinks I need to be on it for much longer as I have neurological problems.
I'm sorry this is so long. Any information would be appreciated. If someone can post leading me in the right
direction, that would be great. It's really sad we all have to struggle financially to get better.
Thank you everyone.

There is SSD and SSI. You can get disability, which is unrelated to your husbands income. If you want to get it then make sure you tell them you have CFS Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (a symptom of Lyme) it's one thing they do recognize.
SSI (Supplemental Security Income) you probably wont be able to get if your combined income is higher than their set standard. Look it all up, its all on that site.

Thanks so much everyone. Those links helped me out so much.
Okay so, I couldn't apply for SSI because my husband makes too much. I haven't worked for over two years. Can I still apply for SSD? How long do you have to work to even get considered?

Thanks betty. I like your bluntness, lol. I will have to add everything up. I don't even remember the years I worked. Isn't there a site that you can go to that has the details of your work history?

Do you get the yearly updates from the Social Security Administration? That summarizes when you worked and how much you made.

No, I don't. Where do I go for that? Or do I just do a search?
Thanks by the way.
