well here i am in las vegas. ugh, major traffic. don't really care for this place.
but i need to ask this question. after i went to the er thursday night, or wednesday night, whenever, the next morning i got up and VIOLA!!!
i could not believe this. i had a ring of red circles around my neck. they didn't itch but were definitely there.
also MY LEGS!!! behind my knees, about two inches up, and almost to my ankles, the entire back, looked like a severe sunburn. didn't itch but man, wierd.
i wish i could have taken a picture but with us leaving and all, i didn't.
anyway i was thinking it was a med reaction, but looked up morphine, zofran, and levsin and none listed this type of reaction.
so i got to thinking. they gave me saline solution in an IV...DUH...it's salt water right? so it would cause a herx,, huh?
i've never had this reaction since i started any oral meds, but this is the strangest thing. the red ring around my neck has finally cleared and the rash and lightened just a teeny bit, but you can definitely see it.
could this be a herx or something? i had started back on flagyl and biaxin, both at 500 per day. and had been on them about a week.
anybody got any ideas?

The salt and C protocol attempts to raise the concentration of sodium in your body.
The saline solution in the intravenous drip would be at the same concentration as in your body. So I don't think the IV would cause a herx.
If it is a herx, it might be from the antibiotics.

that's all i had. morphine, levsin, and zofran in iv.
my legs look like a severe sunburn but it's not hot. just definitely much darker skin.
and the red circles were raised but didn't itch.
definitely looked like something from a bart picture.
and i did have the morphine headache for two days. i never want that stuff again!!!

I would suspect the flagyl and biaxin. The reddened skin is worrisome. Please take a picture of anything that remains - have good lighting and set the camera on something stable, and rest the body part on something stable - it is very hard to get good rash photos even when they are very visible.
You need to talk to your LLMD and let them know. Describe the rashes in as fine a detail as possible - size, texture (smooth or scaly, rough and so on), density (hard or soft), any warmth, opaque or transparent/visible liquid beneath, itchy or not, painful alone or when touched, etc.
Whether or not your LLMD can determine what caused it, you need to have the incident documented in your records, along with any pertinent info, like what you gave us. Any meds you have taken, or supplements, or ANY treatments at all, also anything you ate in the last couple weeks, or any chemical or other substances you were around, could be suspect.
It's impossible for me to guess whether your rash was reactive/allergic, med or supp side effects, or from Herxing.
