My wife has done 60 days Doxy--> 3 weeks no meds--> 3 weeks Doxy--> 1 week Zith/Mepron.
Her Knee has been swollen since May (when we didn't know it was Lyme) until now. Anyone have this experience? When can she expect to see some improvement in the swelling?
I'm hoping once the Zith/Mepron have more time to do their work it will help...
She tested Lyme + twice, positive for Babs, Bart and Ehrlichia.

i do suggest editing subject line by clicking on pencil, 3rd box to right of your name, and edding
swelling of her knee swolen since may go down
now, you might get readers/replies; on page 2
my gut reaction was also; perhaps a blood clot?
i went thru after my hip replacement surgery.
to do a simple test on your own about having any blood clot, the home RN taught me this:
on the swollen knee leg, push your foot BACK and forward.
when it's pulled as far to front of your shin and EXTREME PAIN, it's a good sign that it is a blood clot or deep vein thromble clot, fyi...
so in my NON-medical opinion, i'd get it checked out; 5 months swollen?? best wishes, and up for others experiences and medical knowledge.
