Has anyone used this herb to help in their treatment of babs. I have been on Mepron for 4 months and my doc wants to add this.

Yes, it is standard Burrascano treatment protocol. He says on p. 24 of his Guidelines:

"Artemesia (a nonprescription herb) should be added in all cases."

When my doc added it to my babs treatment, it was almost like a miracle. I went from having weekly flares lasting 48 hours each to a flare of only 6 hours the first week on art. Each week got less and less.

The art made a dramatic difference.

All my friends and acquaintances go to Burrascano type docs that I recommend. These docs all add in art at some point in babs treatment.

My doc gave me the exact brand he believed was best. I took it 2 times per day on an empty stomach, Friday through Sunday of each week. (You always pulse it like that--3 days on and 4 days off, for example.)

Artimesinin is the form of the herb we used. Artimesia is used to treat malaria with much success.

Babs is related to malaria.

TF,

Which brand of Artemisia did your LLMD recommend?

Yes, I use it.

Art did nothing for me without Mepron, but when I added it after being on Mepron - WOW.... huge herx. I think Art is good.... I hate how it gives me an awful metallic taste in my mouth though (and oddly, it doesn't for everyone, but for me it does!!!). [Frown]

TF,

Thanks!

I have artemisia and artemisinin from Nutricology.

On the Vitamin Shoppe site, when looking at artemisia and artemisinin it says...

Allergy Research (Nutricology)....so apparently they are the same company.
