I am currently taking Doxy 100mg 2 times day, and just added Augmentin 500/125 three times a day for a sinus issue.

Have any of you had augmentin prescribed for Lyme and Co? If so, what dose and for Lyme or a co infection? What affect did it have on your illness?

I'm having more symptom issues since adding the augmentin, and I'm wondering if it is helping to kill of the Lyme, or if I may have some co infection issues even though the tests were all negative.

Thanks for your help!

I'm on Augmentin twice a day. It flared my symptoms at first, and is maintaining me fairly well.

Yes, it should help your Lyme, but I'm not sure about the Co infections.

C3mom, is Augmentin the only thing you are on now?

No, I'm on Clindamyacin also three times a day for only two days of the week.

However, at one time I was on Augmentin 4x a day as well as doxy twice a day.

Thanks for the info C3. Have you been treating Lyme for long? It's been just over a year for me.

I'm on 4000mg of Augmentin along with Levaquin. I've been eating the Augmentin for about 4 months.

It is hard to tell if it caused much of a difference in herxing. I tend to have as much as a month and a half with practically no symptoms, then I may have them pretty bad for a month.

I've been on treatment for a year and a half. I just started treating Bart in the last two months. The Dr tried to treat the Bart back in Mar, but the Biaxin sent me for an Anxiety trip!! So I have just recently resumed.
