Well I was going to ask if anyone had problems with Flagyl and deep depression, but did a search and saw numerous posts about the same topic.

Its crazy within three hours of taking a 500 dose of this stuff I get immense fatigue. Obviously fatigue already from lyme and co-friends, but I can't even get out of bed. And the depression whoa boy is it gloomy.

Sorry to hear you're in flaghell. Not fun. Hang in there.

Some use Tindamax as an alternative - slightly less rough, not much.

Flagyl is really rough stuff. I pulse it once a month 1000mg for two days. I herx and hard from it each time. The first time I herxed for two weeks. My herxes are hugely emotional. I have been suicidal after taking it - not exaggerating. Suicidal. It has gotten easier. Then I come out of it with my most noticeable improvement each time.

It is hell, but of all the drugs and supplements that I am taking, it is the one that I can point to and say - that is working.

Every month I have to brace myself for a horrible herx. I am down to herxing for about a week aftet taking it. I did it last week and it was a little better.

I call it, "the stinky little pill from hell". The pills DO stink, I swear, you can smell it when you open the bottle.

I love Flagyl. I know it's rough to take but it really works and is a powerful part of Lyme disease treatment. For fatigue, are you on Methylcobalamin B12 injections? They really help! Make sure you have supportive measures for fatigue, depression etc., on Flagyl in place so you can succeed.
