I haven't used my sauna in a couple weeks, just because I didn't want to "push it."
My anti-babesia herbals have been making my pulse go super high, and also I can feel that my heart is beating strong, even when I'm not touching my pulse points, it feels like my body is barely containing this crazy strong heart.
It doesn't feel like how some people describe "palpitations," where it is bothersome or scary....it is just hard and fast, and I can feel it beating away.
I have also been very slightly trembly.
I would like to use my FIR sauna, but I'm wondering if this is safe if my resting heart rate is 120?
Normally my heart rate is between 95-105, but when I take something that is hitting an infection, it can go up like this. But it will stay high for hours, or maybe even all day, I dunno.
Thanks for any insight.
Also, just today I have felt out of breath going up or down the stairs, and that is a new thing for me. I'm thinking it's from herxing from my babesia herbs.

Not sure. Perhaps you could run it at a pretty low temp. Or call the manufacturer ?

I thought about that, massman....just doing a lower temp. Mine goes pretty low.
I got it from an online distributor, and it was made in China, so I don't think I'll have much luck contacting the site I got it from.
I'm sure I could ask my LLMD though....just kind of seeing if others had an opinion either way.
I may try it at a very low temp. If this is just my normal pulse right now, I can't see how a low temp sauna would be too detrimental. It's not like my heart is bothering me, it's just very fast.
However, I know my heart is working hard right now, and that's the thing that scares me.
But, I think the heart is working hard to clear infections. Pulse goes up when the body is responding to infections (I'm sure that is something you already know). So maybe the sauna would actually help with that, is my thought.

Hoosiers have you had a tilt table test?

Well, I was actually diagnosed with dysautonomia by a well-known specialist. He diagnosed me with hypermobility syndrome, which is a form of dysautonomia where you have too much cartilage and thus, weak blood vessels, and said that because I already met so many criteria, I didn't need to go through a tilt table test.
The dysautonomia meds never helped me very much.
It is actually pretty amazing I can handle the sauna, because I do have issues getting the blood to stay on the upper portion of my body.
Like if someone gives me a hug while standing that keeps me very stiff, and I can't shift my weight, I start to feel really weak.
Anyways.....I did end up doing the sauna tonight, and my pulse actually feels a lot better, though I haven't taken it yet.
I really think it was a herx that was causing my pulse to be high, and I think the sauna helped push some things around to make the herx not so bad.
