When I first started taking abx two months ago i had severe body-wide pain fro hte first day. Then no more pain, it was then nausea and

vomiting.

It's mostly settled into severe headaches (requiring, and I do mean requiring, opioid pain relievers), a ton of dizzyness, and episodes of

tremors, jerking, and twitching to the point that I couldn't be still if you offered me gold.

It also gave me worse heart issues for about three weeks (thought I'd have to go to the hospital, my heart rhythm was so messed up,

but I didn't), but now my heart realted problems are improved, so I geuss the infection there was trying to clear out.

Now, I still have a lto of headaches (i've had more headaches int he past two months than the past two years combined, literally), I'm

still dizzy, and I still twitch and start trembling usually three or so hours after I take the antibitoic....BUT. IT's not as severe a herx as it

used to be. It used ot be wehre I could barely function.

So, is what I'm experiencing now, significant enough to still be herxing? My LLMD said if I stopped herxing then to start taking this other

antibiotic with the one I'm on now. But what if I've stopped MEGA herxing, although I'm still herxing moderately, or maybe it's just

mildly? Should I wait until I stop herxing all together?

I'm just wondering if I'd be able to tell if I werent' herxing anymore... Before I started lyme treatment, I was geting new neuro

symptoms monthly and getting more headaches. Well now I'm still gettng more neuro symptoms monthly + more headaches but they just

happen to be occuring around the time I take the antibiotic.....so it used to be clear that they WERE a herxing reaction due to the

timing, but since it's not as severe anymore, I just wonder now if it's the Lyme worsening because I stopped responding to the abx, or if

it's still hte herxing happening, since they give nearlyt he same symptoms.

Know you all understand, thanks for your wisdom!

I know what you mean. Your LLMD may want to either increase your dosages to higher levels or switch if the meds arent working anymore.

But you still are having symptoms, just more neuro and head pain rather than whole body pain so maybe they are working. It's really hard to say. I know some herx really badly the 1st week after starting a new med regime, but then it lessens.

I've stabilized too on my protocol but i'll be switching in November to different meds. Good luck!

Thanks Liza, maybe that's what's happening to me, it's not fun to be "Well either the abx are working and doing this or they stopped working and lyme is kicking my tail" lol

I don't want it to win!
