Let's hope it's not IDSA

For medical advice related to Lyme disease, please see an ILADS physician.

You beat me to it! Actually, if it's anything like what I heard him say when he spoke about Lyme on Oprah's TV show, it could almost be worse. [shake]

Of course, he's viewed UOS since then, so maybe he's more in the ILADS camp. At the very least, he should now know that Lyme is caused by a bacterial infection and not a virus and that it's NOT okay to leave a ticks imbedded head in your skin for a couple of days, until it works it's way out! Yipes! [Eek!]

Personally I can care less about Oprah. I've read so many posts here and on other sites about contacting her regarding a show.

People this just isn't going to happen. I don't see it happening on the Dr Oz show either. It's called ratings people, and tv ratings generate advertisment, which generates bookoo bucks. The same goes for her O magazine. Check out the advertisment in there. People don't care about chronic Lyme disease.

Is it more important for Oprah or other talk show hosts to talk about celebrities, break ups and drug addictions etcs, then of wanting to spread the word that there are many people around the world sick with Lyme disease and just asking for a better quality of life?

Or is she intimidated by all the controversy surrounding the differences between IDSA and ILADS. Who knows.

It wouldn't suprise me to find out she has a big investment in big pharma either.

Just my 2 cents.

It is Dr. Oz that has the big investment in Big Pharma.

www.naturalnews.com , in todays edition, reveals Dr. Oz has a BIG connection to a vaccine developer.

So I am slowly being vaccinated against Dr. Oz !
I have a developing case of decreasing respectus.

My wife picked up the copy of "O" tonight, after seeing this here, I ran and grabbed the magazine.

It's not a bad article.

It has a brief explanation of Lyme disease, and short paragraphs from both the IDSA, and ILADS camps.

In the end Dr.OZ takes the high ground and says....

Let's get past the fundamental argument over whether this is a chronic condition or an autoimmune response by acknowledging that it could be both.

Someday we might discover that ticks aren't giving people just a bacterial infection but also a virus or a hybrid bug.
