My doc wants to start pulsing in Factive soon. Can anyone give me some sources for it?

Its very expensive on Canadadrugs and I would really like to know if it is available cheaper anywhere else or a generic maybe??

Canada drugs is the cheapest I have found at 5.80 USD a pill. If anyone can better that please let me know.

Now, I am pretty troubled, because they now seem to sell *only* that generic from India:

Now here is the explanation: "Factive"/Gemifloxacin has been discontinued in Canada since Feb. 2009.

-> see http://webprod.hc-sc.gc.ca/dpd-bdpp/index-eng.jsp and search for "status: discontinued"

But the mystery remains: why do they keep selling that generic from India in Canada?!

Anyway, FDA says original "Factive" is still available in the US.
