I've been feeling horrible the past few days. I've finished my 3 months of Ceftin with minimal improvments, so my dr has changed my meds. My new meds are Amox 500 3xdaily,Azithromycin 500 2x daily, and Flagyl 500 2x daily. I am to take the amox, and azithro for 4 days, and then take the flagyl for the remaining three.

I have been done with my Ceftin for about 2 weeks now, and just started my new meds last night.

The last few days have been horrible. The dizziness is becoming debilitating and I feel like my balance is getting messed up too. My head just doesn't feel right and I can't think straight. Also again, my tongue hurts, and my body feels fatigued, weak, and shaky.

I feel like I'm starting all over again! Ugh!! Could this be from taking the break from meds?

I'm so afraid I'm going to have to deal with this for the rest of my life, and it's really starting to bum me out.

Anyways, does this new abx regimen sound good? I'm nervous about it.

Thanks for your help!

I suggest you call you LLMD and tell him/her about your reaction. COuld just be a big herx, whici we have to remember is good....

I feel for your discouragement. Me too -- I still have big herxes when we change meds and I wish it was all over ..already!!

Hmmm I think your asking if the two weeks off has made your symptoms return.? Since you just started last night it can not be a herx since you have been feeling this way for days.. right?

I would give the new regimin a chance. i was on this for the last two months .. Zith and Flagyl via IV and did well. I did herx at first but then started to respond. I had a bad reaction to Flagyl and had to stop last week and already miss it.

So give it a chance. i say.. and it might take a bit to start working.

Maybe Ceftin was working better than you thought and holding things at bay for you at least?

So.. though now you got to move forward and I do think your combo sounds good .. to me..

Hope you feel better soon.

Try to up your detox methods right now for the week. IT helps. Baths, enemas, dry brushing, detox supplements.. or whatever works for you..

I have to remind myself at times because it is so much work and esp when you feel horrible..

I've been dizzy for the past several days... but today I'm feeling more achy than before. I've only taken two doses of abx... could I be herxing already? So the dizziness isn't from a herx.. cause I had it before taking the meds. But tonight I'm really feelin like crap...I just ache. Maybe I'm getting sick... everyone in my family has been sick. Ugh!

springshowers,

Please expand on your bad reaction to flagyl and how you stoppped?

And consequently why you miss it?

I'm under the impression that flagyl is just posion and everybody is suffering who takes it.
