i have this too sometimes. To me it feels like sunburn i guess. It's sort of hot under my skin. It just goes away after a while. I don't know what it is. I seem to have it when i have flour since i don't have any usually. Did you eat white flour recently?

After 10 years of burning and itching skin (allergy tests always came back neg) I have found that in my case it is caused by a histamine intolerance. So now I stay away from foods high in histamine, which is far easier said than done as the list is as long as my arm. It`s not just soy, red wine, eggs or chocolate, many kinds of fruit, but basically all proteins as they break down. I only buy meats either frozen or with the "best if used by" date at least 8 days away. To see if this applies to you, see how you tolerate eggs or soy, which are my worst foods (even cause diarrhea and bladder pain on top of the horrible itching and burning for me). There is quite a bit of info on the internet, lists of foods as well. Histamine intolerance is caused by a lack of the enzyme that is used to break down histamine in the gut (Diamineoxidase) There is now a supplement, Histame in the US, DAOSiN in Europe. It helps some, but is far from perfect. I read that 80% of the people who get this are women, but that still leaves 20 % men. K.

randi,
i just started homeopathics and have had the same reaction. My lips burn and so does my face. I am slightly flushed. I TT the doctor about it and she claims that it indicates that the remedy is working.

I added in Alinia as a cyst buster about 2.5 weeks ago and 8 days into it my body started to burn like crazy. It was like fireworks going off under my skin. I kept taking my temp, but it was normal.
After about 5 more days it started to subside and now I don't really have the burning (it's been about 18 days or so).
So, I think it had to do with the Alinia and whatever it killed (hopefully some of those cysts!).
I've had burning/hotness over the years, so this isn't new new, but it was particularly intense.
