Hi all. Hey, Lymetutu,Wow,you are still here? I'm really not new, but a returning Lymer. I was treated after 10 years of Lyme by a wonderful LLMD. However I had to move many states away and of course had 0 money to actively pursue my treatments, although I was on the mend after three years. (2 IV tx's and many po's) I did have some residual symptoms that would come and go, but I could function somewhat normal. Here's the question. Can Lyme/Bab return with a vengence and start over? HAs anyone out there gotten better and had a major relapse years after their initial tx? In the last two months I have had a return of the old symptoms ( a long list) and some new symptoms, just like in 2002 when I fell apart and couldn't function. I have tried to work around these symptoms but I need to see a LLMD again. I can't believe that those little spirochetes can come back to haunt me again after 5 years. Oh no, no more herxing , please! Hey,how do I find an LLMD where I live? My Fam MD wants to test me for MS. Oh, gosh, here I go again. piggysue

Sorry you are going thru this again. I'm in the same boat. After years of lyme symptoms, I was dx and treated starting in 2001. By 2002 I was much better on anx.
By 2005 I was symptom free off abx. This year I had a very emotionally stressful year and didn't take care of myself very well. In June all the old symptoms returned with a vengence.
My LLMD had told me before that stress can take the immune system down and may cause a relapse. So, it's back to treatment.
This time though I feel that I have the advantage of know ing that all this stuff went away over the course of time and treatment.
Sorry you're going through this again. Find yourself a good LLMD by posting in the find a doctor fourm and get started on the road to recovery.
