This is the fifth time I've had this symptom this year and it is the most unbearable. Every time I breathe in it feels like someone is stabbing me in the back.

I have had ct scans, mri's and ultrasounds. All these tests showed nothing but cysts on my liver and kidneys which the radiologists stated would not cause these kind of pain/symptoms.

In 2001 I had a positive lyme and babesia test. Was treated back then for 4 months with doxy only and was good for 1 1/2 years and then started to relapse. Within the last year relapse has turned severe.

Just started doxy two weeks ago after seeing Dr. R in Lakeland. I thought the last two weeks were bad but this returning symptom is by far the worst.

Does anyone else have this? What do I do? I can't bear the thought of having to continually go through this kind of pain!

What do the drs say when you've had this before?? Surely there is something they can/should do. Have you called your LLMD? I would call on the emergency line, if I were you. this sounds like and emergency. Plus, it sounds like you need pain meds to get you through it. But, of course, that isn't a fix, only makes it bearable somewhat. If you have to, go to the ER.

my last trip to the er for this cost $11,000. they said it was a stone and sent me to a urologist. the urologist said no stone and improving so don't worry about it.

OMG!! I hope you had insurance!! But it sounds like not. Call your LLMD. If nothing else, get pain meds (unless you already have them)---meds adequate for your level of pain. This is cruel. I really hope you get relief soon. Didn't the drs say there was anything to do for the cysts??

Nothing to do for the cysts. This was just before I sought out an LLMD for the second time in my life (different state). The new doc put me on doxy (2 weeks ago). I go back on Tuesday to see him and he did say that the cysts were probably the lyme.
I told him I tested positive for babs 7 years ago and was never treated and he did not say anyting about treating for it. I am starting to wonder if that is the bigger problem.
