Currently seeing LLMD. Taking 500mg tetracycline

3x day. Now I am still fairly new to the Lyme

community. My question is this. The past several

days(mostly at night) my pain level in my joints

and especially muscles throughout my whole body

with my hands and fingers that go completely

numb. This has brought me to tears many times.I

am assuming this is from herxing. I swear

sometimes that there has to be something much

more serious going on.But I guess what I have is

what you could call serious. Does anyone else

have extreme amounts of pain? If this is just

the lyme then ok, but I need some reassurance

that this is or could be normal. Like I said I'm

learning.Thanks everyone

OH yes, very normal. The pain can be worse than surgical pain!! There was study indicating this!!!!! And I agree!!!!

Lyme is a very serious disease.

Thank you for replying. I was initially treated

in June by primary doc with 200mg/day doxy for

one month. I was not better so in October I went

to a

LLMD in the Vermont/NH/Maine area. Now I have

been on tetracycline. This is my 5th week 500mg x

3/day. In a way I am glad that this is the Lyme

doing this. I really had no idea it could get

this bad. Now other that the physical pain I am

starting to have to deal with the emotional

pain. My family is now starting to realize how

bad this actually is. I think I'll be on this

board often so thank you again for replying to

me. Everyone take care.
