This is from yeast. You can buy Nystatin shampoo in most stores. I get mine at Kmart.

This also happened to my husband. I am very sensitive to chemicals and odors, and the conventional dandruff shampoos were too strong for me to tolerate being around him.
So he started using a tea tree conditioner, which helped. Our LLMD suggested supplementing with small amounts of zinc (5 - 15 mg daily). This has also helped.
One home rememdy is to crush up asprin and mix it with shampoo. You'll see some commercial dandruff shampoos have salicylic acid in them; asprin's active ingredient is acetylsalicylic acid.
So mix one asprin into your daily shampoo and you can avoid buying a specialty shampoo. (You can also do this with face wash to treat acne.)
