Can you tell me some easy detox remedies?

my doctor told me about activated charcoal/ I've heard about the dry sauna.

What else works?

I'm really curious as to what others used,

thanks, JKV [bonk]

You may want to get your detox organs - liver, lungs, large intestine, lymphatics, kidney, skin
etc healthier before asking them to get the junk out.

Further stressing an already stressed organ = an almost guaranteed herx. IMO all herxes may not be good.

Those are 2 good methods. Some liver/kidney support could help detox as well methinks, getting hyper coagulation/vasoconstriction dealt with is another (better blood flow - better detox, as well as better organ support)

Some people also use Welchol or Cholstrymine. That are scripts from doctors.

Also Baths.. with sea salts or other things.. You can look up detox bath remedies..

Also Enemas - Usually coffee but again you can look up other remedies.

Exercise if you can... Walking or Bouncing on a bouncer tramp or something that will give that affect.

Rife - I have found the detox frequences for liver lymph kidneys digestion and detox and cleansing to be helpful.

Massman is right.. If your on your own to detox.. then detoxing prior to hitting the infections for a good period of time would be quite smart.

Massman hit on the most important thing to start. Drainage for kidneys, liver, and lymph.
Go to the health store they usually sell tea specific to liver and kidney cleansing. As soon as you feel more competent about what you are doing. Buy bulk herbs online and make your own, make sure you check with your doctor first.

Donna Eden has a 5 minute energy routine you could do a couple of times a day. Your body needs energy to detox, these routines work on your meridians to make sure they are open.

Activated charcoal can be done while your are draining toxins and should be. Others include potatoes skins, bake a potato and only eat the 1/2 inch including the skin, puts some coconut oil instead of butter. The skins are a great toxin binder and very nutricious. The potato you can't eat give to someone else in your household who can. You might want to bake some potatos don't eat them, let them cool and refrigerate. Eating cold baked potatos reduces their glycemic index dramatically.

One of the best ways to detox is chlorophyll. You can get that as a supplement or you can just buy bunches of greens and grind them into a pesto. Dandelion greens are my number one green for this purpose. It is both a detoxifier and nutritional powerhouse. It is non-goitrogenic important to lymies who have thyroid issues and non-oxacilic.

http://www.leaflady.org/health_benefits_of_dandelions.htm

To continue with the pesto, add a bunch of parsely, celery, romaine lettuce. Some vegetables are better cooked again due to wether or not they are goitrogenic or oxacilic. Add some olive oil and lemon juice. The lemon juice acts as a persative and the mixture should last about a week.

With your pesto, you can put it on your baked potato, over rice, or over noodles. To make it healthier, put a dash of cayenne pepper or a spice you like add some kelp powder or dulse (seaweeds are rich in minerals and iodine).

Eating a lunch contain a couple of tablespoons of this pesto every day, is a natural detoxification supplement.

Another detoxification that is extremely powerfull, is to take a glutathione suppository. Some LLMD's recommend glutathione IV, the funny thing is the suppository might work better and is far cheaper.

Just some thoughts.

A few detox ideas--

- Dry Brushing. I do this before showering. I'm not sure if it's really helping with detox or not, but it exfoliates my skin and makes it soft and pretty. So either way it's a win.

- Lymphatic drainage/massage. This should only be done by someone who is trained specifically in this modality. Not just a random massage therapist.

- IV glutathione. (I don't know about the suppository form; I've got a PICC so the IV is easy for me.)

- Glutathione precursors. I use Pharmax-brand glutathione precursors. The ingredients are N-acetyl cysteine, Glutamic acid, Alpha-lipoic acid, and Glycine.

The most effective way glutathione can be delivered is: IV, transdermal, suppository and orally through liposomes.

Liposome glutathione (GSH) delivery is done orally and is very effective, sometimes the liver is too congested to manufacture GSH from the precursors, the following is a link describing how it is done (when you open the link go to the tab liposome for a description):

www.liposomalglutathione.com

quote:
STRUCTURE
A liposome is an extremely small (1/2 the width of a human hair) bubble, which is also called a vesicle. Liposomes have a fat-soluble exterior and an interior that is watery. This watery interior can combine with water soluble materials such as glutathione. Our liposomes are multi-layered, as you can see in the diagram to the right.

Liposomes are made from the same type of material as our cell membranes, phospholipids. The phospholipids in our liposomes are derived from lecithin, which comes from oil extracted from soy, not soy protein.

The unique structure of liposomes allows them to encapsulate biologically active ingredients. In this case the liposomes keep glutathione in its ``reduced'', or biologically active state. The liposomes in our product are very stable, which allows use in an oral drink.

HOW THEY WORK
Because they are made of the same type of material as our cell membranes, liposomes penetrate mucosal tissues allowing for rapid release into the blood stream. Nutrients that are not in liposomes have to pass through the stomach to reach the liver where they are metabolized and released into the bloodstream. Some nutrients are destroyed or compromised by stomach acids. Liposomes avoid the digestive system by penetrating the mucosal tissue.

A scientific article published in 1965 in the Journal of Molecular Biology (Bangham, A.D.et al) described these vesicles for the first time and explained their similarity to human membranes. Since that time liposomes have been the subject of great interest and study. Because of their adaptability, liposomes have a wide range of applications - from delivering anti-cancer drugs to providing gene therapy and skin care. To date, more than 35,000 articles have been published in scientific journals regarding liposomes.

Glutathione in suppository form, sends GSH into the sigmoid colon where there is a canal directly to the liver.

liposome's didn't exist when I was supplementing GSH. As Anna said before, she can take IV GSH, for those that can't there are alternatives. Especially if you have liver issues or small children. From what I understand, suppository is much better absorption then transdermal based on autism sites I've looked at.

I do dry sauna, chlorella, cholestryamine, milk thistle for liver, burbur extract, phosphatidyl serine for brain, grapefruit seed extract, grapeseed extract (heart and circulatory), take digestive enzymes, bentonite/pysillum husk shakes, lots of water, and now added V8 for when i dont feel like chopping veggies.

I dont have a PICC or IV-prescribing MD, so these are things i have learned about from this site and my other local Lymies.
