Many people with Lyme are sulfur sensitive and glutathione can be exactly the wrong thing for many of us. I've seen a number of people that did worse on GSH than without it. Definitely something to think about.

Hey...
Ok.. You do Glutathion and all is well.
Then, let's say you are taking Bactrim and do Glutathione and you do BADLY.
Sulfer drugs already are being taken, so you now have sulfer on sulfer... so would that make a difference?
Anyone notice any problems with that? I REALLY would like to know.... and be able to make or NOT make that connection.
Thanks spring for bringing this up. Got me curious now.

I am just coming off (I hope) a horrific herx that my LLMD believes was triggered by IV Glutathione. I had one shot, felt good for about 8 hours, and then came down with just terrible pain and emotional symptoms that lasted for 9 days. The doc says it is rare but does happen. He had me back off Cumanda, and it is now (I think) getting a bit better.

Ok Now I am really curious.
I am allergic to Sulfa drugs. Also lately figured out to Niacin. Pure severe Hives.
Now.. I was doing better and feeling ok On IV Gluth.
But then.. I started noticing that I was herxing afterward and feeling horrible. I also do an IV nutritional bad at the same time.
I used to do the IV Gluth with my IV EDTA but the EDTA bag also had nutrients ... so i do not think that is the problem.
I did not know the connection between Gluth and Sulfa??
So.. What is the connection. Maybe it is making my inflammation higher?

Are Sulfa and Sulphur the same? IS Sulfa a Sulphur derivative or something? Never made the connection.

When I am very toxic I feel horrible the day or two after glutathone, like a severe herx/toxic symptoms. After that dies down though my brain is much clearer and I feel a million times better. Its better for me to feel worse for a day then to feel worse all of the time. I think its my bodys detoxing. When I keep up with them regularly I dont get sick I just feel better.

I feel sick after using the Glutathione IV pushes. They give me terrible head pressure, nausea, weakness, and extreme tiredness.
I push mine over 30min, couldn't tolerate it any faster. After i'm done, I head straight for bed and sleep for several hours. When I wake up I feel like I did earlier in the day, generally no better and no worse.
My ND and LLMD both insist that I need the Glutathione so I have continued to use it 3x per wk. Some days my reaction is not as strong. I keep hoping that i'll get used to them and actually start feeling better with them.
I just thought that my body needed to detox an that's why I felt so bad.
It is interesting that you mention sulfur sensitivity being a problem. I do not tolerate sulfa drugs so it makes me wonder if Glutathione is really such a good thing for me to take.
