You may be herxing. How long on the IV?

MYyguess is the rocephin is hitting things in places not hit by orals.

Hang in there. My first 4 weeks on iv were a blur. My son and husband now tell me that I needed to be helped from room to room and that I had slurred speech- none of which I remember. By week 8 I was able to do more that one thing at a time during a short trip out of the house.

Today I am working full-time and nearly 90-100% of myself.

Yes, I agree this sounds like a herx. Get fresh lemons and squeeze them into water. Drink this all day to detoxify yourself. Try to eat 4 lemons per day. And LOTS of water. That's what my now famous lyme doctor told me to do. It will really help with the herxes.

You can also get into a hot bath with a cup of epsom salts, some baking soda, salt, aloe, etc. and detoxify that way. Drink warm water while you are in there. Keep adding hot water to keep the bath hot. This way, you sweat out toxins and they are washed away in the water.

You will feel limp and exhausted from this, esp if you stay in there a full hour. Go right to bed from the bath.

This suggestion comes from another lyme doctor. It helps.

One month isn't very long... if he insists on pulling it, be SURE you follow it with orals.
