My husband is about to change jobs, and health insurance. My old insurance does have on file about the Lyme disease. Do I tell the new insurance about Lyme when they give me a physical or not???

As long as you do not have a lapse in insurance, you will be fine on his new group plan. In Texas, pre-existing conditions only apply if there is a lapse in inurance. PM me if you have any questions about this.

Yes...I'm in the insurance field. If its a group plan, they can not deny you coverage. (At least in Texas....I'm not sure if other states are different since I only have an inurance license in texas).
But you are right Lymetoo, on individual plans you must not withhold any information, or they could later deny claims. Really, you need to answer all questions correctly whether its a group plan or not.

It's my understanding that if you are on a group plan they cannot reject you even if you are pre-existing-however, they do ask you if you have any pre-exisiting conditions and if you fail to disclose those conditions at the time you sign up they can remove you from the policy and any thing that was paid for would need to be reimbursed (they have 7 years to collect back) in CA.
Doctors offices who were paid for services are require to give back the funds to the insurance company. I am not sure where you live but I would have your husband ask his HR company or let you talk with the HR.
Insurance companies are shady and they will not pay for a lot of lyme treatment but they do consider it a pre-exisiting.
