I moved this from General support per Lymetoo's suggestion.

Hi...I was recently diagnosed with Lyme disease and have a few questions. I went through many of the same frustrations I've read about all over getting a diagnosis and finally talked my GP into giving me the test which came back positive.

1. I had/have many symptoms such as numbness in the hands and face, brain fog, vision problems, arthritis in knees and shoulders that at least to me seem like they would be part of more advanced stages of Lyme. Is that necessarily true? And because it seems to have infiltrated my nervous system does that mean it will be harder to treat? I've been taking 100MG of Doxycycline twice a day for about a week now.

2. One of my really annoying symptoms that I don't read much about is an itching in my fingers, toes, nose and eyes. It's not on the actual skin but more inside the tips of my fingers and toes. Has anyone experienced this and found any way to calm it down at all?

Any response, advice etc. is greatly appreciated

Yes, mine was more like a bone itch, deep.

It will get better with treatment. If your doctor is not Lyme literate I would seek one over in

seeking a doctor section. If you have been sick very long lyme is probably not all you have and

could require a specialist to treat. Prayers for the best.

Thanks for your reply. I will look into a LLMD. A bone itch is a great way to describe it.

I went from bone itch to deep sharp stabbing pains. Glad your going to look into it.
