Hi
I would like to start to treat Brucella and bartonella.
I will take Rifampin (300mgx2 or 600mgx1), Doxy (200mgx2), Azthromycin (250mgx2).

I read that I have to take Rifampin in an empty stomach, so is it better to take all the 600mg in the morning? Or should I take 300mg 2 times a day?

Also, I cannot take Doxy and Rifampin at the same time, because Rifampin makes Doxy less effective.

I hope somebody took this combination and can help me. [confused]

Do you think I can take Rifampin at daytime,
and I take Doxy+Azithro in the morning and at night?

Well rifampin influences liver metabolism (speeds it up) so it does make most everything metabolized by liver less effective. My LLMD things rifampin+doxy is fine ,but rifampin+ macrolides is counterproductive. I personally couldn't find a way to avoid the issue so I just go with what llmd said.

You could split them in time by 12 hours since rifampin has short half life (5-7 hours) , so like take all doxy in the morning, all rifampin at night

I personally did not have great experience with that combo as doxy in large doses makes you nauseous from time to time and rifampin 600 mg at a time is not a cake either . So basically I felt like **** most of the time
