Isn't your appointment jan 4th? Thats really not long at all. I would probably just wait and see what LLMD says.

Take probiotics to prepare your tummy for antibiotics.

Maybe someone else will come along with better advice.

How do you know you have this anyway? Obviously you got a diagnosis from somewhere. Doc did not give you any meds?

street-

I know you and I have talked about this. Did you ever get the name of an Infectious Disease doc to treat the M. avium?

That is not an infection to ignore, for certain.

It is treated with a combination of antibiotics, including azithromycin and rifampin.

You could still have Lyme, but treating this infection (it is long term treatment) could restore your health.

And if you do have both, then treating the M. avium will begin to treat Lyme.

Can you go to a County Health Clinic for starters?

I still cannot believe the first doctor would not treat you for this. There are no false positives for M. avium.

Let me know if I can answer more questions for you, either her or PM.

~Kitty

Your LLMD will explain everything to you. ID doctors are classic clueless and useless for the most part.

Make sure the LLMD know you had TB in the past and now test positive for M. avium.
