I've had to do contortions to see my back just above the waist and near spine using a flashlight and magnifying glass!!! So frustrating--almost drove to my sister's to have her take a look.

I also have headache at base of skull worse than usual, crunchy neck and terrible anxiety. slight temp. last night and my memory is bad.

I've noticed itching off and on and today it's worse and could feel slight raised bumps so tried to check it out.

I can see red dots and a couple of scratch-like red marks.

I haven't been on antibiotics for almost two years and thought lyme was a thing of the past except for adrenal issues.

Never tested positve for bart and didn't think bart was itchy so maybe it's just some kind of allergy?

My LLMD has documented many patients who list itching as a complaint with Bartonella. I personally have experienced this. My previous LLMD took the itching and red rash to be an allergic reaction to my meds but after doing and antibiotic challenge for my meds we determined it to be either the Bartonella or my immune system on overdrive.

Good luck getting it all figured out - hope it's something other than a TBI!

One streak has appeared on my calf since, and there's no doubt it's a bart rash.

I ihad a friend take a digital picture of my back last night and there are a lot of streaks and red areas there.

I think it it will go away on its own. I had one single mark on my arms 3 years ago and it disappeared.

I'm just hoping symptoms go away sooon. The anxieitu and headache and shortness of breath make me feel I should check into see a psych.

I'd like to scream at everybody and where I'm usually a patient person I find everyone talks too much. I can't stand noise of any kind.

Has anyone had it go away on its own? It seems most people get it during treatment but I haven't been on any for two uears/

Is this something I should at least call my LLMD about? I suppose it would be gone by the time I'd see her, so it seems a waste of time and travel.

If you got pics I would say it would not be a waste.
I may have been hidden by the lyme?

Sounds like bartonella coming out. It will probably not go away on it's own. I would have your doctor check it out. Even if the rash goes away other symptoms will increase. Your emotional issues will only get worse if it is bart. Headache is typical. Do your feet or shins hurt? And hot flashes without sweating? Memory loss? Sure hope you do not have it but if you do the sooner you address it the better off you will be.

Thanks all, I'm thinking I should get it checked out.

It just seems strange since most people here seem to mention this as a reaction to abx.

I got lyme in 1992. Had one line of dots like this in 2007 and it went away by itself.

This was long after 18 months of a variety of antibiotics for lyme.

It seems the doxy and zith in 2006 should have knocked it out.

I don't itch as much today, but feel agitated and head aches now that evening is here.

Is it common for the rash to fade in the daytime and come out at night?

One other question: will my PCP, an internist, recognize what this is or do I need to see my LLMD?

I would be surprised if your PCP recognized this.

I would actually fall out of my chair.

But, you never know!

Please go to your LLMD. Our daughter's pediatrician tested for Bartonella and when it came back positive Igg.

She said resolved past infection, no treatment needed. Our daughter had many Bartonella symptoms.

Finally, we went to a LLMD and she is being treated for bart, etc. She is improving.

She has/had some of your symptoms.

Wishing you luck.

I have a ton of itchy rashes on my arms mostly. They have been with me for years. No PCP or dermatologist could ever figure it out.

When I went to an LLMD he immediately identified it as Bart. I have lots of rashes on my chest and back too, but they don't itch. In addition I have patches of hyperpigmentation and bruise-like areas that he says are Bart too.

I have been on abx for eight months and so far I haven't had any improvement in the rashes. Some can be caused by abx, but some are truly caused by Bart. It is a good thing you took pictures. That may be helpful in getting a diagnosis.
I have also had the lines of dots that you mention, but mine only last a couple of days, then fade. I have had them on various parts of my body.

The anxiety and headaches you are experiencing could very well be part. Anxiety is a huge problem for me and I take two meds to control it.

Best of luck to you. I think an LLMD would be the best way to go to get help. I have a feeling it is Bart coming out.
