Dear friends,
For all those who have read my posts in the past lamenting my flulike malaise, overwhelming fatigue, and medical disability, I wanted to give hope and encouragement to those who are still struggling.
I had been bedridden and felt close to death. At my worst I was about 10-15%. Through abx, two LLMD's (I did switch), and the support of you on Lymenet I made it almost to the other side of this.
I've been working full time since August 08 with a few bumps in the road. On most days I've between 85%-90%. Although not perfect, I'll take what I can get. It feels like a gift to live a seminormal life. Yes, I require more sleep and short naps than most people, but the fact is I'm feeling better. Never thought I'd get to this point.
I'm still on abx and my LLMD said she was going to keep me on them another year. That will make 3 years of abx, but if that is what it takes, so be it. Don't be afraid of them. I did Cowden, Buhner, Teitelbaum, etc., but the abx are what helped me the most. Also, the adrenal support (Isocort) and Guna homeopathics.
I was struck suddenly with this in 2000 and remained misdiagnosed for 7 1/2 years.
Never give up!

Yes, thank you CherylSue. I'm very happy for you and I really needed to hear this.
I've had a bit of a pity party lately. I've only been treating 6 months but it feels like six years. My gut is telling me no more.
Did you also treat for all of the co-infections? Do you have a specific medicine that you think helped more than others?
