I feel like I am beating a dead horse with this, but has anyone every had a flare or relapse that is primarily mental in nature? I have stomach distress, but mostly its anxiety, panic, hormonal, fatigue or a feeling of overdrive, slightly low blood pressure, off and on dizziness. I have neck stiffness as well and some back pain, but those two are nothing compared to the mental distress I am having. After a bad bit of anxiety I will have these sore spots on my scalp and skull. I wouldn't be asking about this so much if I didn't have to wait so long for my new LLMD appointment, but its really getting to me. Sometimes I think I'm just crazy.

You aren't crazy. It is the lyme (or bart as well in my case). It is terrible. I know personally. It can and will get better. I am still fighting this hard, but the one thing that you have to tell yourself is that it is the disease, not you. YOU ARE NOT CRAZY.

Its so hard to deal with. When I was diagnosed at age 9, the doc told my mother I would more than likely have problems later in life, but with the enxception of fatigue and some bothersome joints I was totally fine for the next 16 years, and I relapsed. Pulled myself out of it, and now three years later, my brain is being torn apart.

I live in my own world with this too. By writing this and understanding something is wrong shows you are not crazy. There are so many aspects of this - try to keep busy to occupy your mind. Give treatment time. Your body and your mind are one. One affects the other. Your immune system is down and that allows this to hit you hard. Take care of yourself and allow yourself healing time. It's really hard but you'll do it.

Are you taking any meds? Yeast, biotics, naturals?
Doing any soaks, skin rubs? Epsom salts?
I like lemon juice on those sore spots. Squeeze it
on let it set and rinse. Coconut oil is good too.
It is worth a try.

I have bart and Lyme, and I have gotten flares that are almost all mental. I really did feel as if I were going crazy at some points- but it helps to know that it is Lyme, and not you, and all the crazy mental stuff is coming from the Lyme, and not from you.
