This test was developed by MIT and is call ANSAR. It measures both Sympathetic (gas) and Parasympathethic (the brakes) of the nervous system.

Lots of graphs as you can see, but if you look at the bottom right graph, you can see overall, I am in Sympathetic Overdrive as indicated by the Orange, Parasympathetic is indicated by the Blue, which there isn't much of.

The graph second from the far right on the top line shows spikes of the same thing from sitting, deep breathing, Valsalva maneuver, and standing.

This is a great test to show for those of you who have POTS or undiagnosed POTS or just feel like your always revved up. The entire thing was explained to me, but I too hard to explain the other charts.

I'm on SSDI, but this is good proof for anyone who says you suffer from anxiety or that it's all in your head.

BTW, I take a beta blocker and didn't stop it for this test. The Dr. said had I stopped it, he is sure there would be NO Blue.

This Dr. is a toxicologist and he drew 26 tubes of blood on me to test for tons of things I never heard of. He agrees in the Lyme diagnosis, but wants to see if anything else is going on. He has many patents on his treatment regimens and he tries to get the body back in sync, while also treating Lyme with herbs and other modalities.

Hope this can help someone. Just google ANSAR MIT and you can read more about this test. Medicare was billed $300 for the test which took 30 minutes. Not sure if they will pay or not, but a well worth test in my opinion.

Gary

This looks like a more advanced version of the Heart Rate Variability test that hubby and several other lymies have had done.

Hubby had someone give him a Bowen massage and redid the test -- his results were worse instead of better.

As with you his sympathetic nervous system is in overdrive although probably not as bad as yours.

I have tried to research this and the main thing I have ever read is that mineral deficiences can be a big part of the problem and also adrenal issues.

I would be very interested in what supplements the doc puts you on.

I definitely plan to research this more.

Thanks for posting.

Wow Gary, thanks for posting this.

This is my biggest complaint, by far. I am like a revved up engine 24/7; it is very hard to tolerate. Never goes away, sometimes worse than other times, but always there.

I am going to print this info and discuss it with my doc. Now what I want to know is...how do we improve this and get our bodies back in sync? I am 20 months on abx....and this is still my biggest battle. TS

Thanks so much for posting this too Gary - it's so great when there is "objective data" to support our symptoms, at least in some cases.

Since you're already on beta blockers what were the doc's recommendations if any?

Really cool [Cool] graphs + tables.

Lots of pages to look at ! [lick]

MIT ? [bow]

I am beginning to realize that simple answers + solutions are not cool enough for many posters here. [bonk]

The Toxicologist I saw who did this test has lots of success in rebalancing the Autonomic Nervous System with Vitamins, Amino Acids, etc.

He started me on what he calls the Basic 6. I'm having trouble with the B12 and Folate as I am Undermethylated right now, but once I am once again properly methylated, the B12 and Folate should be calming and give me energy per the Dr.

MIT= Mass. Institute of Technology.

Yeah I just try my best to burn a lot of it as much as I can. My fiance and I just spent two hours putting together a glass table craft center and chair, I'm exhausted but at least it will make the buzzzzzzz chill out for a bit haha.

massman means in MA, havs known about MIT for many many years.

We MUST bow down to them + their testing.
EVERYONE will now be CURED

Does not mean a thing what organs control the ANS as long as we have cool testing.
