Is it just me, or has anyone else had a major herx, or a set back after they had been feeling better and seeing much improvement?
I had been feeling pretty good (even worked out last night) and been in tx for 5 months.
Last night, I started to feel very ill...as ill as I've felt in the beginning. Heart racing, dizzy, head pressure, tingling, etc.
I spoke with my llmd this morning and he's having me lay off meds for a few days maybe due to drug interaction.
Yet I've been on these drugs (doxy, rifampin, flagyl) for weeks. He did not feel it should be a herx since I've been feeling so much better and my germ load should be way down.
Please let me know if anyone else has experienced this.

Exercising sets me back for weeks. I can do certain things, but nothing that raises my heart rate for more than about 3 minutes. Maybe you over did it.

I've been exercising 2 to 3 times a week for months now.

I wonder if its possible that the ketes are just so deep in the tissue that it took months for the medication to saturate deep enough to reach them to kill them??? Just a thought.
I think it is possible that your body just can't handle taking 3 meds all at one time. Thats a lot of chemicals being dumped into your body for that many months.
Some of us have a hard time taking tons of medicine for months on end. Maybe you just need a medication break. Sounds like your doc made the right decision.

Could it be some sort of viral infection ? I'm just getting over one myself, Lyme leaves us vulnerable to viral infections.
