Hi, if not lyme then what are the other possible reasons for my random muscle twitches? The vast majority of them started around july 2009 and they occur in my legs, arms, face, back, almost ANY muscle. They have been occurring since then. Sometimes I don't have that many during the day.
Most seem to occur at night, in the evening. Sometimes they are fast twitches sometimes slow. I am 20 years old (man that sounds old my birthday was jan. 6) I am not in my 70's or something. I just want to know what could possibly be causing it if it is NOT lyme.
My other symptoms are muscle achy-ness mainly in lower legs and somtimes in arms (more in left arm than right) and I have either what seems like constipation or diarrhea but it is never really normal... (this has been going on for about 2, 3 years) Also I always feel worn out. When I wake up I feel UN rested.

I was told it was Bartonella. Magnesium deficiencies can also cause this, so first try taking extra magnesium, and if it doesn't get better, then think Bartonella.

I take Mag Tabs. very potent stuff. i take 4 tabs a day.
If it's from walgreens or GNC or grocery store... it probably isn't that potent.

Many have vitamin D deficiencies that regulate
calcium hormonally in our systems. The body will
snatch and grab whatever it has to for the
calcium, so those levels are maintained at all
cost. When the functions suffer too greatly and
too much gets robbed it will cause other
symptoms. If the system is not working right
which can wax and wane like the tides it can
cause the twitching. But usually not so much
until treatment is started and things really get
stirred up then. Now we find that the biofilm
that protects the borrelia also contains a lot of
calcium. But the trick is to not give it more fuel
while maintaining our symbiotic harmony.

Bartonella to the -T-. I get massive twitching when I start a new med that has ANY bart activity whatsoever, like clockwork.

I think you can get it from lyme and bartonella.

I agree it can be lyme or bart. Mine is bartonella. Look for other symptoms as you should start treating it sooner rather than later. It also affect me mentally and emotionally.
