I read through many of the past questions here on this topic. I received results today on these tests.
C3a: result 264 - normal = 0-940
C4a: result 12,300 - normal = 0-2,830
With an elevated C4a, CD 57 of 40, and other markers am I just kidding myself thinking I can beat my Lyme w/o IV?
I've had no positive labs on any autoimmune diseases like lupus, rhrumatoid arthris, anti-thyroid panels, and many others.
The same things pop up over and over again but docs mainstream docs insist it's not possible: positive labs related to Lyme and Babesia. Ironic, huh?

I might consider IV in your shoes, or IM.
You have tried a lot.
Hang in there.

May I ask where you have your C3a and C4a tested? Can you use any lab?
Thanks Allie

LabCorp did it. They send the blood to Jewish National Labs in CO.

C4a started out high on no abx(3775), got higher when starting abx (mino only) (12005), dropped back to the original high after 4 months (zith/Rif only(5403) and is now, after adding more abx (zith/rif/plaq/doxy to mino)... 19,995.
I see my doc soon. In the past, when it increased, it was seen as due to increased cytokines from die off after adding abx.
I know it is a reflection of inflammation. That could be die off and/or continued infection.
Mine was sent to National Jewish thru Quest, so any major lab can send it out for you.
