My goodness, my left hand is killing me! It's been having sharp shooting pains all yesterday and today. I think it's mostly radiating up through my ring finger. I'm guessing nerve pain? OUch!

Yes, this happens to me too. I've actually had this symptom for a very long time (and it switches hands). I was first bit when I was 12 and shortly after had this symptom. Being so young, I really didn't know what to think of it except that I had arthritis. At the time I didn't think much of it, unfortunately.
Sometimes I also get carpel tunnel-like pain with or without it as well.
