One benefit is that is alkalinizes the body. Even though the juice itself is acidic, it has an alkalinizing effect in the body.

Acidity in the body is supposed to be bad (except in the stomach of course).

It also has Vit C of course.

Beyond that, not sure the benefit.

I have used this once for a herx and it did help.

I think the lemon water is over rated.

Like one of those things we are told to do because it's been passed down over and over again by people. lol.

I do believe it can help, but as far as detox measures, there are much more effective means.

It has not ever helped me out w/ a herx or symptoms, I prefer NM burbur & parsley for mild detox aid.

I have been told a "more alkaline" body will leave the terrain in our bodies more in our favor and leave it less desirable for the bugs; although I have seen a few friends go physco w/ trying to alkaline their bodies w/ no results so I am not so sure how much merit that holds either.

Best

Derek

I used to think it was overrated too, until the first day I took Enula.

I had this horrible burning type pain in my diaphragm, that was similar to the cramp you get in your side if you try to run long distance when you are out of shape.

It was feeling almost like it hurt to breathe. I was desperate, so I drank some lemon water, and it got better within 5-10 min. Then about an hour later, it started to get bad again, so I drank more lemon water, and it got better again.

Weird!

Since then I have taken it more seriously. I could see that it wouldn't work for some things though.

Same here, Derek. Although I enjoy lemon juice on and in most food and drink, can't determine any differences when I was battling TBD's, or anything else for that matter. (It's refreshing though!)

Lemon water while on abx should be fine, it is Grapefruit we need to be aware could cause a problem. If ever in doubt call your pharmacist.

It is true, alkalinity in the body makes a "terrain" less likely for bacteria to survive. A doctor once said, "Bacteria is NOTHING, terrain is everything". He was talking about the alkalinity in our bodies.

Lemon does alkalize the body and very fast, might be why it is good. But if you are herxing, I like the olive/lemon drink much better.

The olive oil/lemon drink is great for herxing and good for you. This link is well worth reading regarding the drink (recipe is given) and all it can do: http://www.keephopealive.org/lemondrk.html
